For beauty this resort was tops. Beautiful spot right on the beach overlooking the Whitsundays.

A little disapppointed with room service, for the money we expected clean floors. Fine dining in the restaurant was wonderful, but some problems with staff behind the scenes got our order mislaid. However, these were small things, and would not deter us from going back. The sheer beauty of the Queensland coastline makes up for any little problems. To wake up and go to sleep to the sound of the waves lapping on the beach outside, is unsurpassed (for someone from ) degree temps in Melbourne.

Mackay is a typical coastal queensland town. NOt much sand, but the natural bushland and ocean are unsurpassed. The little town of Pinnacle up in the hills above Mackay makes the best PIES. Peas and pies, chips and pies, gravy and pies. All washed down with beer. !! BEWDY. We had the BEST mud crabs, fresh from the sea, and giants with armor like ninja turtles. Red spot prawns were the best accompaniment we could find.

Beer and champers washed it all down. Wendy Matthews performed at the Footy Club and attracted a full house. Nice meal, big crowd, but all in all a great weekend.

Book Dolphin Heads Resort, Mes Family Investments P/L, or Mackay Area Accommodation and Hotels.
